Reasons why girls should seriously consider IT geeks for boyfriends

Reason 1: Data mining

Even heard of data mining? It's a branch of computer science that extracting patterns from large data sets by combining methods from statistics and artificial intelligence. Now that might be mind boggling for you guys, so I'm going to explain it in a very simple manner, we study the history, we analyze it and we come up with hypotheses. Still don't get it? Well, basically what IT geeks like us can do is we can analyze a girl's reaction based on a certain action we do, learn from it and comes up with ways to, actually make you VERY VERY happy.

Reason 2: Communication is very important to us

Ever wondered how millions computers managed to communicate with each other in this world? Yes, IT geeks invented methods and ways to make sure that messages get sent properly without error. Girls only need to understand two ways to communicate effectively with IT geeks. UDP, which means Understanding Dependent Protective and TCP, which means Trustworthy Committed Passionate. Girls need to learn that IT geeks are TCP and UDP even when we don't display it, it's really a running in the background kinda thing. Once you believe it, you can easily get to the most heavily encrypted HDD of any IT geeks. Oh wait, I meant the heart, sorry about that.

Reason 3: The Big O

This will be applicable to mathematics geeks as well. Being very very efficient people, IT geeks are always fascinated by the Big O functions. We always try to make trading systems and software running faster so that those business studies losers can stop complaining about how much they're earning or losing in a second. C'mon, who really gives a shit about that? We, IT geeks view things in milliseconds and microseconds, meaning we'll be the first to react no matter what your needs are. Yes we may not be as rich as them, but hey isn't understanding why a system is computing O(log n) in a space complexity of S(P)=C+SP(I) wayyy more sexier?

Reason 4: Open source

The geekiest of the IT geeks will know that in order to slack, we'll have to rely on open source libraries to reduce our coding workload. For people who don't know what open source is, it is the practices in production and development that promote access to the end product's source materials. What does that actually mean!?!? It means that IT geeks will never hide anything for you, and we'll even make it easier for you to understand us! Now, what more can you ask for?

Well, I can actually go on forever about why IT geeks make good boyfriends, but I'll like to stop here and actually get back to working on my FYP (another tell tale sign that we're responsible, passionate and hardworking). So all the single IT geeks out there, I salute you guys. For being that "can you please help me fix my computer" guy. For all the times where you became faceless strangers after you fixed the girls' computer. For all the times where you sit in front of the computer watching the girl you like fall in love time and time again with petty jerks from other faculties. Your time will come and IT geeks WILL rule the world.
